camping

Something scenic

Monaken Lodge hosts a full program each year. Three of our weekends are Ordeal weekends when newly called out Brothers can take their Ordeal, or when current Brothers can get together for a great weekend of fellowship, service, and fun. These weekends are a great time to experience Seven Mountains Scout Camp in a whole new way and enjoy the outdoors at the same time.

hiking

Hiking is a great way to experience the great outdoors and camp at the same time. All you need is a backpack of some sort, a few basic supplies, and a place to hike, and you’re set to go! You can spend time with your family, friends and fellow Scouts. Best of all, you can experience something new and learn many things.

camping

Picture this: sitting around a campfire, roasting marshmallows and hanging out with your friends. If you have experienced it before, then you know that camping is one of the best ways to have fun in Scouts. You get to cook your own food, set up your own tent, learn new things, and spend lots of quality time with your friends.

day tripS

So, what if you don’t have enough time to take a long camping trip? No problem. You can take a day trip. All you do is take along some water and food and get hiking. You can still experience nature while not missing much back home. These trips are great for younger Scouts who can’t quite handle a full fledged camping trip yet.
